Transforming Cholistan: A Green Revolution
One of GroRizq’s most ambitious ventures is underway in the Cholistan desert, as part of the Green Pakistan Initiative—a strategic collaboration between the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Army under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). The goal: reduce agricultural imports and boost exports through smart, sustainable farming.
So far, 2,000 acres of barren land have been converted into fertile, green fields. The project currently operates six pivot irrigation systems, each covering 200 acres, with three more systems slated for launch in the next two months. These pivots enable water-efficient farming on a massive scale.
GroRizq focuses on cultivating high-value, export-ready crops such as Rhodes Grass, Alfalfa, and Dates—products in demand in both local and international markets.
