Feeding the Hope: Samsung and Rizq Uniting Hearts for a #HungerFreePakistan

In 2018, Samsung and Rizq joined hands for a remarkable collaboration – the Million Meal Challenge. Ramadan, a time of reflection and giving, became the backdrop for their shared mission: to feed a million meals to those in need. This ambitious pledge was not just a numerical goal; it was a testament to the power of unity and compassion. Rizq Khana, a public kiosk serving as a drop-off point for food donations and an Iftar distribution center, became the heart of this initiative. It became a hub of generosity and kindness, located at three key locations in Lahore – Firdous Market, Allah Ho Chowk, and Khokhar Chowk. Volunteers worked tirelessly from 5:30 pm till Iftar time, collecting and distributing meals to those facing hunger.

Madam Bushra Ansari, a well-known figure, pledged her support with a beautiful message: “And He is the best of all providers.” Her words resonated with the spirit of giving that drove this campaign. Samsung and Rizq aimed to break down barriers and eliminate biases that often shape our perceptions of others. Through the #DekhoMeriNazarSe (See through my eyes) campaign, they invited the nation to envision a world where all humans are equal and treated as one. It was a powerful message that touched hearts and gave hope for a more inclusive future.
Team Rizq, fueled by determination, worked diligently at Allah Ho Chowk, where they served 100,000 meals. But they knew their mission was far from complete; their goal was to reach one million meals. Rizq’s efforts extended beyond Iftar Dastarkhwan; they included ration distributions, collaborations with supermarkets and restaurants, and food drop-off points in public spaces. This comprehensive approach aimed to make sharing more convenient and accessible for everyone. Partners like Amreli Steels Limited provided tremendous support, making the dream of a #HungerFreePakistan a reality.
In a world marked by divisions, biases, and prejudices, Samsung’s message was clear: let’s see all humans as one. The #DekhoMeriNazarSe campaign challenged us to look beyond our differences and recognize our shared humanity. Samsung and Rizq’s Million Meal Challenge was not just about feeding the hungry; it was about breaking down barriers and building a more compassionate world. In a time of need, they united stars and ordinary individuals alike, reminding us that we are all capable of creating positive change. Together, they turned a lofty goal into a heartwarming reality, proving that when we come together, no challenge is too big to overcome.
