THE LANDSCAPE & PROBLEM

Global Humanitarian crises

The WEF nexus is of critical concern, with 2 billion people lacking safe drinking water, 690 million suffering from chronic hunger, 1.2 billion lacking electricity, and WHO predicting over 250,000 additional climate-induced deaths annually from 2030-2050. Regional vulnerabilities vary, with heightened risks in the Arctic, MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa, SIDS, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. The Asian-Pacific region, facing population density and economic disparities, compounds further strain on critical resources, demanding collaborative, and pioneering solutions.

The Birth of Rizq Knowledge Hub: A Vision in Conversation

In 2023, the Rizq Knowledge Hub (RKH) was born out of a profound conversation between visionaries: Qasim, Co-Founder of Rizq, and Dr. Faiz, the Executive Director YCA. It was in these moments of dialogue, fueled by shared passion and dedication, that the seeds of RKH were sown. Qasim, driven by Rizq’s mission to promote food security, and Dr. Faiz, with his commitment to youth empowerment and social innovation, envisioned a platform that transcended traditional boundaries. Their conversation echoed with the urgency of the global Water-Energy-Food (WEF) crisis, one not merely of resources, but of innovation, collaboration, education, and sustainable solutions.
