Our Aim

Nurturing & Empowering Communities

The Food and Nutrition division of Rizq is dedicated to nourishing communities, empowering individuals, and unlocking true human potential. Through a tapestry of innovative programs, we strive not only to fill empty stomachs but also to address the root causes of hunger. We don’t just provide sustenance, we also advocate for healthy and nutritious food, believing it is essential for the well-being of individuals.
The Problem

Scant affordable nutrition

The global disruptions in supply chains caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the local devastation caused by the 2022 floods in Pakistan, have plunged millions into poverty. Compounded by historic inflation, the accessibility of affordable and nutritious food has become an unattainable dream for many. In the face of these challenges, our programs strive to ensure that people have access to the vital nutrition they need, offering healthy and affordable options.

    Rizq Mega Kitchens are state of the art,  community-based, social-enterprise mega kitchens that work to promote the accessibility of healthy and nutritious food by supplying food for a range of our programs and services. Rizq Mega Kitchens pride themselves in best and most nutritious food and the most economical rates for welfare of the society.

Our project empowers micro-entrepreneurs through affordable food carts, granting access to nutritious meals prepared at Rizq Hub. With competitive pricing and a community-driven approach, we not only provide healthy food but also foster employment, contributing to community upliftment.

    Rizq Dastarkhawan, a program that provides free meals to those in need. We set up communal tables and places for food, creating a sense of community while nourishing those who are struggling to put food on their plates. Our mission is to ensure that everyone has access to nutritious meals, regardless of their circumstances.

    Through the Rizq Daig, we channelize the rich religiously and socially motivated culture of food philanthropy with in Pakistan through the distributing a daigs, a local term for a huge cauldron of food. These daigs are traditionally distributed at shrines, places of worship, hospitals and public places to provide food to the deserving.

By advocating and taking decisive action, we intercept and salvage edible food that would have otherwise been discarded across the entire food supply chain, from farm to fork. Through our extensive network of food banks and non-profit partners, this rescued food is thoughtfully redistributed to individuals and families facing food insecurity
