PALESTINE APPEAL

The ongoing situation in Gaza, Palestine demands our attention. Millions living in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip are facing a situation that disrupts their lives and destabilizes their communities. Nearly 2.2 million people living in Gaza grapple with the consequences of prolonged conflict and blockade. The scarcity of essential resources such as fuel, safe shelter, food, and clean water has reached critical levels.

In the face of this escalating crisis, Rizq Trust has initiated a Palestine Emergency Appeal. We stand resolutely in our condemnation of the indiscriminate targeting of civilian life and infrastructure. We firmly believe in the need for immediate actions to safeguard the lives of innocent civilians and secure unfettered access for vital humanitarian aid.

HOW WE ARE ASSISTING THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE?

During these critical times, Rizq stands firmly committed to assisting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Our primary goal is to raise funds and provide humanitarian aid to as many people as possible. Operationally, we are coordinating with organizations, such as Gazze Destek, working in Gaza for efficient distribution of aid. Through these partners we are procuring both food and non-food supplies locally from areas in and around Gaza. Focus is on procuring goods and supplies that are needed the most as per on ground information we receive through our partners.

Rizq will be collaborating with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to send all in kind supplies we collect from Pakistan to Gaza.

OUR PALESTINE RELIEF ACTIVITIES

With the support of our donors and partners, Rizq was able to dispatch thermal blankets, urgently needed in these times of crisis, to Gaza. Our order of blankets has been handed over to @alkhidmatpakistan . From there, the shipment will be sent to the @pakistanairforce.paf for smooth delivery, aiding our Palestinian brothers and sisters.

OUR DEMANDS

As an organization, Rizq vehemently denounces the ongoing, indiscriminate targeting of civilian life and infrastructure in Gaza. We demand immediate action to protect civilians and secure safe access for crucial humanitarian aid, as the scarcity of essentials like fuel, safe shelter, food, and water in Gaza has reached critical levels.

This intensifying war in the region is causing severe breaches of international humanitarian law, leading to a dire humanitarian crisis. The blockade imposed on Gaza and the lack of secure humanitarian corridors have left its population, nearly 2.2 million strong, without electricity, clean water, communication, food, healthcare, and basic necessities. This situation is even more critical now.

We also remind the world that in 2018, the UN Security Council unanimously passed the historic Resolution 2417, which unequivocally condemns the use of hunger as a weapon of war.

Hence, Rizq urgently calls for the following actions:

An immediate ceasefire to halt hostilities in Gaza, ensuring the safety of innocent civilians.
The immediate establishment of humanitarian corridors to facilitate the delivery of life-saving aid to those in the greatest need.
An immediate cessation of the deliberate use of hunger as a weapon of war, in line with international legal prohibitions.

We urge local authorities, governmental bodies, business communities, media, and civil society to join us in advocating against this injustice. At the same time, we also urge everyone to donate generously to any credible organization that is working towards providing immediate relief to people in Gaza. Our collective effort is essential to safeguard human lives and provide the necessary support and protection to the people of Gaza, who are facing the brunt of this calamity.
